Claim Procedure for Motor Own Damage (OD) and Own Damage Knock for Knock (ODKFK)


1. TCEAS will notify Insurance Company within 24 hours with some basic information.
2. TCEAS need the assistance of claimant to submit the following documents:
 
Documents needed for OD:
• Duly Completed Claim FormCopy of Cover-note/Policy
• Certified copy of Police Report
• Copy of Registration Card
• Copy of Road Tax Disc (if required by certain Insurers)
• Copies of Insured’s IC & Driving License
• Copies of Driver’s IC & Driving License
• Estimate Cost of Repairs
Documents needed for ODKFK:
• Duly Completed Claim Form
• Copy of Cover-note/Policy
• Certified copy of Police Report
• Copy of Registration Card
• Copy of Road Tax Disc (if required by certain Insurers)
• Copies of Insured’s IC & Driving License
• Copies of Driver’s IC & Driving License
• Estimate Cost of Repairs
• Duly signed Declaration Form
• Certified copy of Thirty’s Police Report
• Certified copy of Police Investigation Result
• Certified copy of Police Sketch Plan & Keys
• Copy of Third Party’s Insurance cover-note/Policy/JPJ Search
3. Insurers will appoint In-house Adjuster or Independence Adjusters.
4. Approval of Claims upon receiving Adjuster’s Report and claims documents.
5. After repair, submission of final bill and Satisfaction/Discharge Voucher duly signed by claimant.
6. Settlement of Claim by submission of invoice to insurer.
   

Reporting accident


1 Make a police report immediately after the accident.
2. Notify own insurer within 24 hours.
3. Send car to nearest EAS service centre for repair.
4.  An independent adjustor will be appointed to survey the vehicle.
5. Submit claim, documents & adjustor report to 3rd party insurer.
6. 3rd Party Insurer will establish the quantum and liability. Insurer will revert with offer if liable.
7. If the claim is rejected, to submit to own insurer for consideration.
